4x4wheel bearing torque
can someone please tell me what the wheelbearing torque preload is for my 4x4 front wheel bearings please?...and also has anyone noticed the little cap/relief valve thing on the vacum pump rattling around on my psd?...i taped it down do it would stop rattling...sounds like a bad bearing on the v belt pully tensioner ...

While Rotating Front Disc Brake Hub and Rotor, Tighten Wheel Retainer (Nut) to 68 Nm (50 Lb-Ft) to Seat Wheel Bearings.
Back Nut Off 90 Degrees (1/4 Turn). Tighten to 1.8 Nm (16 Lb-In).
BTW: It's the same for Manual or Auto Locking hubs.
The torque for the outer lock nut on the Manual hubs 217-278 Nm (160-205 ft lbs)

thank you cuda jim!..i gotta get a manual soon...keep missing opportunites to get one...i have the factory ford socket , tourque wrench and everything else...ive done it on my 87 ford 4x4but not my 97..never had the specs and the wheels have never fallen of yet of any of my vehicles but its nice to know now anyways
