walker down pipe

Does the walker down pipe work with the 73 - 79 ford truck body style with no changes needed. I have the 300 six with EFI exhaust mainfold, but am curios it the pipe will hit or interfere with anything.

yes, with slight mods...atleast for 1/2 tons. I have a pic in my gallery under 300 in 79 bronco. First thing to do is remove the top bolt in the shock mount, shorten it so the nut has enough to fully thread without the bolt sticking out past it. Second is to set the walker pipe in, bolt up to the efi manifolds, mark the shock bolt location. Remove the pipe, and where it was marked, squeeze it in a vise a little...this allows it to clear where the nut will be. Reinstall the pipe, this time leaving it in. Lastly, reinstall the shock bolt and nut. Should be good to go. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I'm not going to do it just yet, but wanted to find out if there is anything to watch out for. I just put a new exhaust on my truck so don't want to change just yet. Have a 4 barrel intake and carb but the carb needs rebuilt. I plan on waiting until next spring to do the conversion.
