Nope. Thats kinda my point they dont need anymore designers. They are trying to get to for out of the scope now. The only thing thats to be improved on the pickup is brakes, fuel milage. Things like that.

you can eek all you want. But the fact i know ford has had pickups since the 50's they might have had them in the 40's. {i really dont know about that} a 2006 looks nothing like a 56 ford, but the over all design is still as true as it was back then. i'm just hauling and towing things from point a to point b not shuddling things to the moon or to space station 9. I dont think anybody will disagree thats theres no replacement for displacement. as i'm sure your going to try and a few others just jump on your bandwagon but put you by a truck with a huge diesel or big block with 2 4v carbs and i bet you wont beable to get enough of it.

I believe BigF350 was 'eeking' at the simplicity of your proposed design with humor. He's got a great sense of humor, IMO. I think you may have taken his post too seriously.

I did'nt take him too serious. i just took the thought serious. i just wanted to explain my view. i think that why the pick-up works is because of its simplicity. it seems to me if you put the original post idea it kinda sounds like they want to turn the pick-up into something unpractaul, something you cant work out of. why dont they just make another of truck and leave the pick-up alone.

Big350 i'm sorry if i seem to have taking you too serious or had said my view to strong i did'nt mean to. truth of the matter i'm kinda scared they will mess up the pick-up just because someone feels they need to always come up with something new.

exiled, I'm not trying to speak for Fred (BigF350), just saying that he has a great sense of humor in many of his posts and I think he was just having some fun. I agree with your outlook on trucks. They are used for work, towing, and so on by the majority of buyers. We do like comfort though! I bought a Lariat so my Family, mainly my Wife, would be comfortable when we're traveling.

i'm following you. and i too like comfort, my fx4 is the only non lariat that i've owned. but the fx4 is as nice as the pre 04 lariates in my opinion. i think the 6 disc cd player is the coolest no i take that back the steering wheel controls on the f250 lariat is the coolest. i mean changing the air or radio station or volume from the steerring wheel is the stuff. On the same hand though i believe that plastic is the worest thing they put in a truck. my 85 f150 has a metal glove box door. designers are killing our trucks with these light weight p-lastic crap and plastic ****, smaller displacement engines to make more mpg. its almost as if they're trying to build a disposable truck.

Heh....they might build them like disposable trucks, but they sure don't have a disposable price. I could buy one, if it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.....'cause I'd have to live in it.
