Greets from Spain
My name is Josh, I live in Spain, in the North.
Sorry, my English ist a nightmare, but more important is, I owned a F350 since 3 months ago!
In the first Time, the F looks like an rustruine, but now, with a little work he looks very different.

The Truck is a 85, 2x4, 6.9l Diesel, Crew Cab.
I change the Transmissionoil complete, all other Oil's, repair little things like little holes in the tanks, broken cables, IP adjustment....
No real Problems.
I love this Truck, and its real possible, it's the only F in Spain!!
I read many times here, and found a lot of Informations and tec. specs, thank you all for this.
In the next weeks i do following things: Rally Seats, 2" more Heigth with longer Springs in front and spacers on the rearaxle.
Maybe I install a transfercase for the real high mountains here, its real hard to drive through the mountains with 1 ton food for the horses...
The truck is in good conditions, I clean all the rust and paint, the C6 works fine and shift fast, the motor have 170 toros inside.
The milleage I know only in european numbers: 12.5 liters for 100 km.
My Discovery have the same consume!!
So I'm very happy with the F, and in the future, i buy only american trucks, they are much more better than european cars.
See you next time here, excuse my english, I'm a German, live here in the wild North of Spain since 8 years and lost all my english....
Josh
Your mileage works out to between 18 and 19 mpg. That's really good for a truck that size.
I imagine Europeans must stand and stare when they see a pickup truck that size rolling down the street. It makes the Mazdas and Toyotas look like toys.
Yes, the people here, they have allways big eyes and a open mouth, when i'm rolling through the streets...

In Spain, the cars are more little than in the rest of europe.
mostly you will see here Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navarra, little toys for little things.
I have 3 Kids, and they love the truck too, because it's the first car in their live with a lot of space around the bodys, and so you can drive long distance without beasts in your neck.
We live in a wild area, no real neighbour, trees, mountains, big Lake, cows, bears and wolfes around.
For this farmlive, the F is the perfect car for loading and other work.
But it will be more and more my dailydriver...

The other people here, they means I'm crazy to drive with this big one, but I'm happy with him.

Does Spain set their insurance rates similar to Germany and base them on engine size?
Sebastian.
I don't no the actual insurance rates in Germany, but they will be high.
In Spain it's more cheaper, I pay in the first Year 1000 euro, and than year for Year minus. The insurance include many things like broken glass, all the things i load in the bed, bring home Service for the driver an all other persons and the truck, and many other good things.
But in Spain we haven't a anual Tax for cars like in Germany, and the Fuel is here quit cheaper.
The only Problem here for trucks like the F are the little streets.

and thanks all for the positiv comments!
I don't think you could afford running a truck like this in Germany. With a 7.3l engine displacement you would be paying thousands of Euros a year. I am glad to see things are more down to earth in Spain. That is a very nice countryside in the back of your pictures.
Sebastian....
We live in Cantabria, this is a part of Spain with many wilderness areas, wild animals with a free live, not in zoos.
We have a farm with horses und I love this livestyle. With the F I have now a real working machine with many possibilities, towing....
I hope, I don't need many parts for this truck next time, because it's not easy to find a dealer in USA, who will send to Europe.
I owned a 4x4 Shop here for our money to live, maybe I find a good shop in USA for a co-operation.
At this moment, the truck runs fine, all parts are in good conditions, my impression is, the ford trucks are a good deal better than Landrovers.
