so i bought my first ford truck, now my baby hehe. it's a 2004 Ford F-250 crew-cab, manual trans, 6.0l diesel. I noticed this thing hook like thing something mounts to (looks like a bottle opener but in plastic) by the cigarette lighter power, and I was just wondering if anybody has any idea what it's meant to do?
Alot of people use it for a mic holder, I use it the hold a set of keys for work and a set of handcluffs when me and the gf want to get kinky ;D..so on. Its a wierd little thing which can be very useful sometimes. But I am 90% sure it was designed to hold trash bags.
It is a liter bag hook. There are grocerey bag hooks under the rear fold up seat as well in the CC on the drivers side, if you get the plastic ones. One guy redid his earlier dash to add the tow command & upfitter switchs and paid $50 to get this to fill the hole where it belogs . .

that's what i was thinking when i first saw it (the mic holder) but it's opposite in shape (needing more of a "U"), but then as I looked at it I figured it must be something to hang something from. so yeah hmm.. i guess trash bags..eh.. not as glamorous of an option i was hoping for heh, but oh well.
I think they were trying to fill space and thats the best thing they thought of .
Theres alot of things that can go in its place. Im trying to think of a idea what I could put there.
