Does anyone know if there was a different bed on the F-250's or F-260's in 1965. I have seen a couple of different pictures. A couple have a more rounded out fenderwell and it is also taller. The others are just like a 2wd like the ones on the F-150's. My truck is a 1965 F-260 and i was told it "might" have a different bed on it. It has the kind that i've saw on the 2wd and it has the same body lines as the other ones as opposed to the beds i've saw on some 4x4's that don't have the same mouldings as the front part of the truck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Hi Austin,
All 1961-66 F-250 4x4's came with a '57-'60 styleside box due to the 129" wheelbase. The F-100 4x4's were the same deal from 1961-1965. The '66 F-100 4x4 was different as it was available in two different wheelbases (115" and 129") It was available with either a '57-60 box, or a '66 box depending on which wheelbase you had. Hope this helps.
