Instrument panel light

I have a light out on my intrument panel. How do I get to it to replace?

Some people have luck removing the lower trim panel under the steering wheel, steel knee bolster underneath that, and then shoving their hands up behind and hoping to grab onto the correct bulb.

I've did it that way, and it's doable depending on which bulb is out. I've also pulled the instrument cluster to replace the bulbs, which is the way the service manual probably tells you to do. Takes longer, but sometimes it's nessesary.

Right. If you do pull the instrument panel, do them all while you're in there. Better that than have to get in a month later if another chooses to bite the bullet.

Perfect link Rocklege. i always wanted to know how to take that assembly appart. i think i'm going to modify that assembly to fit my needs better. You guys really make life simpler.
