My 53'
I put some pics in my gallery of the 53 I just got.The body is setting on a suburban frame(I did not get the frame,just the body) . Gonna need a frame or mock up the frame section that the cab mounts to so i can start replacing the missing metal.

Thanks for the support,definately gonna be a lot of work!LOL!(understatement) It is better than the pics(denile setting in) Jeff,I like the idea of a diesel. My daily driver is a 6.9 idi and I have a spare setting around but it would be quite a nose heavy truck if i did that.Thinking 302/351 or 300 six.I am starting the bodywork on my 86 then it will be on to the 53,no rush just work on it as I get the time/money.My dad had a 55'and I always wanted one of my own,luckily I am a mechanic and resourceful(and half-crazy).

short box frame would be closest unless you have a rare long box dont remember the dimetions of hand may have to trim the frame a bit and possibly the pershes but mabe a 1" or 1 1/2" in being centered help afreind put a 77 short box frame under 55 the later frames are more solid and more material to work with
