Why doesn't any one make a patch panel for the outside rear bed corner on the 57-60 series trucks? It seems that just about every truck I see for sale has rust issues in those spots. What have any of you guys done to fix this spot? John
See our trucks are the "Orphan Years", we are just nor as polular as the vafored years out there, so manufacturers don't believe there is a market yet for such items.

Dislike the look you are thinking of going for on the back of the bed, add a set of "Optional Back-up lights" to the "Olde Girl" to pretty her up & if you're really so stuck on a "latch" for the tailgate, go for the one form the '60s as the style will blend better to our body type.

I'm thinking about chopping the back off an old Mustang and using it for a tailgate of sorts. I'm not sure how yet, but I'll eventually figure it out. I'm going to do this to my "Frankentruck". As for my other '60, I'm just going to have to deal with the plain Jane look on the back. I agree with *****; the tail end of a '60 looks like an afterthought.
