Question How much power with torque shift?

How much can the torqueshift take? I like most of everyone have a programer/tuner, exhaust, air intake. I drive my truck fairly normal and tow a little bit but I often wonder whats the limit on this tranny. I have the hypertech programmer. Is it safe to run in level 3 all the time? (which I do)ha ha. I do know I dont like hypertechs shifting. 1st and 2nd so so, 3rd is very lazy under normal driving. Is there any better shifting products and how does the power compare to hypertechs power? Or am I nearing the hp/tq limits for this truck anyway. 03 f-250 4x4 reg cab 68k miles

Mine's an auto and I drag it at the strip everyother Friday night. 10K miles and I drive it on level 6 on the Juice Platinum daily. I love to power slide turns. Trucks make the best drift machines! Zero problems with the tranny. Shifts hard and quick. The Torqshift is a tough tranny!

5R110 is a tough tranny if it has the right programmer. SCT has a great tranny control program (not to mention the great performance programs). Dynoed my crewcab at 414hp 716tq and no problems. Just do the maintence per the book and go.

Yes the SCT does wonders for the trans, and custom SCTs can be a little better. I run the Innovative Diesel Extreme Race file everyday, and have no problems with my automatic. Atleast 10 times a week I get a customer that wants to feel the power that can be had from the ID tunes. So, my truck gets abused pretty regularly. The week link (if you want to call it that) would be the converter. If you end up needing one, you may want to check out a new line we carry by Dunrite Converters. They have a life time warranty. They are very confident in there product. I wouldnt worry too much about your trans or converter unless you are adding big power. Just enjoy it and maintain it.
