rough idle 02 stroke

I have a 2002 stroke auto. The only mod is an edge EZ. recently i noticed that the engine had a rough idle (in both park and drive). The tach doesnt move much and it doesnt sound like its going to die...its more like a miss or its not getting enough fuel. Sometimes, this continues on up to about 1500 rpms when accelrating/decelerating. Removing the EZ doesnt change anything (may help a lil but its still there). I have changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and have run a can of fuel treatement all since the problem started with basically no effect.

Any ideas on what it could be? I have searched the forums but was not able to find a description of my exact problem. I have a "blue" CPS on the way thinking maybe the CPS is going bad. Does this sound right? Anybody know what else it could be?

bad injector, wiring issue. bad cps usually is intermitent shut off or a no start

any smoke when its rough, could be air getting sucked into the fuel lines
