Systems in F350's?
I may have to make a few concessions but no way in hell am i going to cruise with a factory radio .
First,I need to figure out how to remove the door panels and get my 6.5" comps in there, plus the fords speaker grill is to small for a comp so I may have to run my tweets off the pillars
Second,I have 2 12s in my old truck,I can only see getting 1,maybe ported sub in the new truck, and its going to use up the smaller split seat in doing so
but I dont have many passengers so I dont mind loosing the space.
The rest looks easy as cake,my HU and XM radio are easy to install.....
I also need to run powerwires, rca's and accomplish a Big3
If anyone can lead me with some info that would be great
I purchased Eclipse 6.5 componets and found a link where the owner bought a piece of 3/16 LEXAN, put the speakers in, and Dremeled around to make the template to fit the factory screw holes. I am picking up my LEXAN tomorrow.
Subs need to be shallow and most quality 12's are iffy on depth. I had to give up 3 12 inch Image Dynamics and will be going with 2 quality 10's in a simple but custom box and take out the rear wall carpeted cover and tool rack.
Another recommendation is to sound-deaden the doors. With the 6.0 and quality sound, any little bit helps and you have the door panels off anyway. There is a link here on how to remove the door panels.
Hope that helps.
