Okay I bought a new ignition switch, lock cylinder with keys, and new bezel for my '64. The existing one was drilled out. Now my problem: how does the cylinder go in through the bezel into the switch so-that it will stay. I imagine there is something stupid I'm not doing but I can't seem to figure it out.
Kevin, If you didn't damage the switch body drilling it, you should be able to install the new one like this
1- insert key into the cylinder teeth up
2- rotate cylinder 90º counter clockwise (little hole should be upper right)
3- Insert cylinder in switch and rotate 90º clockwise, When you pull the key out the teeth should be pointing up and now be locked in.
To remove a cylinder from switch
1- place key in cylinder and turn counter clockwise to acc
2- push a paper clip into the little hole while turning the key conter clock wist to a hirizontal position.
The cylinder now should pop out, if not get the 3/16" drill out.

Jowilker, Thank You for the info. I got it together, works great. I guess I should have said I drilled it out because I had no key for it. I'm trying to put some things back the way they should be and at the top of the list was getting rid of the caddilac steering and ignition. I hate having junk parts on a Ford.
