2004 CD, AM/FM stock radio. I have the Belkin FM transmitter for my mini iPod that lets you preset 4 stations on it to transmit over. I'm not overly impressed with the ability to stomp over current radio stations.
Was wondering if anyone has a transmitter in their SD that they are completely happy with.
I use the Monster Cable transmiter and I have never had a Problem with it. In fact when I Go camping I have a Boom box that I set on the table 20ft from my truck and it will transmit far enough for that. Saves my truck battery .
i was happy with my moster cable fm modulator as well. the other option is, does your factory radio have the cd changer option? in my '99 i bought i unit that plugs directly into the cd changer input and now my ipod and sat. radio are hardwired into the radio. awesome sound quailty and i never have to worry about changing the radio station as i travel.
they also sell fm modulators that plug inline with the antenna input on the radio so you have zero radio static as well. there are plenty of options out there.

Know of any vendors? I had thought about doing that but am unable to find any type of products.
here is a couple of websites with them, just look for a wired model. these are not ipod specific, so if you add sat. radio or video you can just plug that into it as well.
I have been using the Monster icar Play for years. Its great. There are two versions I know of, one with 4 station presets and one with 8. I have the 8 station. A few times when traveling I have gotten into an area that I needed to change the station, but I have always been able to find a good station.
