I've had this truck for a week and I've already purchased the 05 conversion and am working on getting the adapters so I can throw my Whipple on it. This was supposed to be a daily driver/ tow vehicle. I knew this would happen.
I grabbed the grill off of eBay. That was ~$330 with shipping. I first purchased the 05' "double decker" lights and then shortly after paying realized that my 9007 HIDs will not work with them. I then proceeded to purchase a set of the 2003 - 2004 projector style lights. So I have a 2003-2005 conversion.
i did the conversion. super easy. i also had the HID's in my old lights. i put the super duty "chrome package " grill on mine. as far as pics, really dont need any, just look at an 05 X, and there you have it.
what kind of adapter do they have? i got the adapter to go from the 9007 to 9008 bulb. how would i use a 9007 hid in a 9008 bulb hole??? square peg/round hole kind of thing....

My bad, wiring adapter. so you can run 9008. converts 9007 wireplug to 9008 plug. I thought that you bought a new HID kit anyway racer.
na, i just saw that they do have a harness for a factory 9008 harness the converts down to the 9007. i would like to know if i can just buy the bulbs for the 9008 hid. but i dont think that the wire ends will match up with the ones that i have. by that time i could get a new kit for $280. for the dual beam kit. thanks anyway...
