power steering question please help

power steering question please help

I need help removing the power steering hose on my truck theres this plug I need to remove with a 18mm wrench I think but its hard to get in there I think I might have to remove my coolant hose I dont know anybody changed there power steering hoses b4?

anybody?!?! I just scraped the crap out of my arm trying to loosen up that bolt coming from the bottom side of the pump, do I have to take the pump out or something? it just aint coming off.... im like 4 hours now trying to loosen it up

finally got it thanks to a crows foot wrench and a ratchet. 6 hours later.... still not done yet tho gotta undo the other side and throw the new one on.

lol yea thanks a lot haha actually I found Matt on IM and he was able to help me out. Good thing I wasnt drinking beer or id be **** drunk past out underneath my truck with power steering fluid all over my face by now.

If you use a crows foot wrench and scrape the crap out of your arm.....it should come off.....anything else we can help you with?

How loud is the power steering on the 6.0? Can u hear it with the windows closed?

you cant hear it at all unless your low on fluid.

If your hearing the pump it may need replaced.

Either the pump or fluid....miles don't count. Have it checked for air in the system, a loose fitting will draw air.
