Where the heck??
Where the heck??
Can anyone tell me where the "clutch safety switch" and it's "retaining clip" are? The wothless shop listed it as a problem under comments during the CPS debacle but didn't bother to ask if I wanted them to put a new one on it, or replace the switch if that is what it called for. Can't find any mention of it in my 2000 year CD Manual.
Thanks
Kevin

should be on the clutch pedal near the top, but is called clutch pedal position switch retainer clip on other side
gy/ye (#6 at top) is TO PCM output
wh/pk #1 at bottom is start signal output
tn/lb #4 cc output
My Ford Shop manual suggests a jumper, but does not say where or how also does not say how to adjust switch.
If truck starts, Cruise control disengages on clutch application or brake application, switch is OK.

I have another thread going from a few days ago regarding my Aux. Idle Control not working, and the engine won't bump itself into higher idle, either. Thought at first it was the parking brake control or switch, but switch activates and control is functioning although worn.
I posted the question about the safety switch under that thread just a little bit ago before checking this one...
Thanks for the info. The clutch switch IS loose, slides back and forth on the rod and turns both ways about 1/4 inch. It no longer mates with the tab it is supposed to, according to my manual. I'm guessing that means I need a new one and it is probably the source of my Aux. Idle Gremlin...
