So with a Scangauge I can monitor engine parameters ( like water temp, tranny temp, oil pres. so on and so on) while I drive? Am I understanding this right?

Not all parameters are avalible to monitor, no oil presure or tranny temp. You do get air temp, water temp, map, TP, RPM, MPH, MPG and A couple more I can't remember.

Yes I am, I don't leave it pluged in all the time, just on road trips or to scan for check engine light.

Just ordered mine from Ron at the factory $170.00; plus he said for $25 you can send it back to be reprogrammed since they will be adding a trans temp mode in the next six months and some other features that I forgot.

wow, this scan gauge looks like a real bang for your buck. It makes a lot more sense to me then spending 400-500 bucks for a pillar guages, and it gives you a lot more features. Im sold, one of these badboys is goona find a home in my dually. I would love to see what my actual water temp is when my stock gauge starts going bananas when I tow sometimes. thanks for the input guys.

Unless you use another source the Scangauge will probably read the same as your regular gauges.

I was refering to a false reading from the sending unit.....still better than looking at line from Cold to Hot on the dash.
