E4OD need help pls
I have a 1995 5.8 with e4od, 168,000miles. Experiencing intermittent symptoms. The truck will be going along and then just have fall out. In other words the truck will appear to neutral out but when I press on the gas but there is no rise in the rpm and no power. Almost like there is no fuel. Just replaced the tank and pump and most of the sensors, map, iac, tps, mlps. Have not changed the trans fluid or filter but the level seems ok. Wondering if a failing solenoid assembly could be the cause. Any help greatly appreciated. You folks know a LOT more than me. Thanks in advance

thanks for the reply. will get the trans fluid changed. seems obvious but my mechanic suggested a problem with the solenoid pack. his suggestion never made sense to me as it doesnt act like it cant downshift or upshift, again when the problem occurs, the rpms dont move at all. thanks
