i am building a 200 ex. v10 limited. my roomate and i put on a 7" superlift, dual stearing stablizer, aem brute force intake, a yakima mega warrior rack with extinsion, carr light rack 5 6" kc lights.the local tire store put on 38" open country m\t's on 20" pro-comp wheels. i know i need to re- gear i figured 4:88's would do the job. i'm gonna install headers in a week and an accu speed by jet chips. a buddy at work told me about his old '99 sd v10 with a stage II chip that gave him 100 added ponies. and now i can not find one is there any on the market? any other modes for the v10 like cams heads would appreciated. i take my ex on logging trails and beyond, in north eastern washington. useually loaded for bear. i need more power it dosen't feal like the v10 is putting out enough.

Your buddy at work is full of it. No chip for any gas engine is going to get you 100 hp. If that 99 SD is a PSD then 100 hp is beleiveable, but pushing it. The only way you are going to get 100hp out of that V10 is to bolt on a super charger.

Sounds like a cool project though. Post some pics, make a gallery.

Talking 100hp

What he said!! These engine like to rev so getting frontal air flow working for you will really help. The headers are an awesome deal too. Beware of bolt tightness, WD-40 a couple time before you start. I did mine at 15000mi and still broke three. It sucks getting in to drill them. The next problem is the "hook" on the right side of the "Y" pipe. I cut the right side off and hand built a new side. I ran with the stock "Y" for a week and could notice the diff. on the fat butt dyno.

I thought duals on the Ex was impossible? I remember reading you lose alot of power and there isn't the room available to run duals.
