Front Springs.....

Well, I've finally decided that I need new springs on Ol Blue to correct the camber problem it has. It is a 7500 gvw truck. I've got a question about the varible rate springs. How do they work? Are they worth the extra $20 that Advance Auto parts thinks they are? Should I just stick with the HD front springs? What would give me a better ride?

TIA
Jake

I'd go with the HDs, seems to me like the variable rate springs would sag more easily.

i beg to differ i have had the variable rate springs on my truck for about 6 years and it is still sitting right up where it should be, and the ride is a lot nicer than with the old hd springs.

My vote goes for the variable rate, does seem to help the ride and handling some.

Well, I got the HD's just because they were cheaper. I was a bit nervous about how it would ride. I finally got em changed out today and went for a spin. I was quite suprised at how well it rode. In my mind, it rides about like my 98 - which isn't bad at all. I also must say, it was very straight forward to get the old springs out, and get the new ones back in.
