Differential gearing

I checked my door sticker and learned I have 4.10 Limited Slip gears in my '97. I know these trucks also came with 3.55 gearing but have no idea what it means or which one is better. Any info from one of the guru's would be appreciated

4:10 gears for pulling.
3:55 gears for milage

FWIW: 4:10 ratio means the the drive shaft turns 4.10 times for every 1 axle revolution.

I have 3:55 in my truck and I run with 38 in. tires I have a manual tranny. I am going to change to 4:10's but I do get pretty low rpms I turn 1700 rpm at 70 mph.
