I have some random questions about my truck. Every once in a while, while accelerating, it cuts out for just a moment. CPS, maybe? I have some downtime scheduled next week, while I have my 6 speed tranny replaced. (I lost OD, and figured that a replacement would be cheaper, and quicker, than a rebuild). Sooo..., I am replacing my master/slave, the clutch, hopefully with an upgraded 13" LUK, etc. Feel free to offer advice about this, while you are at it.
Now, back to my random thoughts. 5-15k potentiometer installed, when I overboost, and set the check engine light, I am told that it de-fuels. Shouldn't I feel a difference? If not, does that mean something bad?
I broke a leaf on a rear spring. Shocks? at 110K, it is due. Feel free to throw a recommendation or two at me.
Levelling... It doesn't look too bad as is, it has an overload on the rear axle, and settles appreciably when i load it. Maybe an extra leaf in the rear, and an inch spacer in the front?
I have a bunch more, but I will wait until later to ask them. Thanks for your patience with a that has only had his truck 3 years...
the cutting out is probably the CPS. i encountered that problem today, see my thread.
shocks- Bilsteins! i have a lift so i could get the 5100 series shocks.
before when i just had a leveling kit, i had the Rough Country leveling kit that included two new spring packs, not add a leaves. they ride great. i have pics of before and after the leveling kit if you want.
