Anyone else notice the headlights and parking lights are different between these two trucks?

It looks to me like they just slapped some of that camo tape over the orange center sections thats between the top light and the lower headlight, to me. What are you seeing thats different?

Had a private chat with the owner of the local dealership today. He hasn't heard much more than us, but did fill me in on a couple of things.

* He confirms the torque will be about 600 lb/ft
* Bad thing is he heard a little while ago that there may be another delay due to the engine or something to do with the transmission/drivetrain. It may be old news though since they have announced the Sept 28th date now. Must have been worked out. He said they hated the delays, but were not going to release the truck and have the same headaches as when the 6.0 first came out in 03.
* Other than that he new about the headlights and stuff. Showed him all the pics I had printed off the web. The shots of the interior were the first he had seen. Looks like Ford keeps alot of information back during development, even from the owners of dealerships.

I hope its a little more then 600lb/ft. That tourqe rating isnt even competitive with engines that are out now from the competition, nevermind whats on the horizon. I'm crossing my fingers for around 650-675lb/ft.

Yea but with all the new emissions crap they have to deal with its harder for them to make that power and stay where they have to be emissions wise.... even the new cummins thats 6.7ltr is only putting out what the current one is now

In cab/chassis form, the 6.7 will put out power roughly equal to the current 5.9. However, the 6.7 that'll go into the standard 2500/3500's will be a higher output.

lol I work at a dodge dealer and what we have been told is 350 hp @3000 rpm and 650 lb-ft @ 1500 rpm but we have also been told that they are porbably going to have to cut the torque to 610 615ish because it wasnt meeting all the stupid emissions standards

ok, I'll admit I've haven't been keeping up to the minute information on the Cummins. I won't be surprised if that ends up being the end result.

It looks to me like the headlight on the camo shot is more radiused and wraps around the fender where the pic on the Edmunds site doesn't or so it seems. You might be correct about the camo covering the center amber lights but it looks to me like they incorperated them into the top parking light on that camo picture and looks like that wasn't the case in the Edmunds pic. It could be the lighting.

I agree the 6.4L will come with higher output numbers than 600 ft/lbs as the new 6.7L cummins in 2500/3500 pickups will have 350hp @3013 rpms and 650 ft/lbs @ 1400 rpms. With the 6 speed auto that will be a nice running truck.

That would be nice, I have been looking for that option to make it onto a SD for several years now. GM has had SAT radiao available on there full size trucks for over 5 years now. If it is a Sat radio antena its about figgen time Ford got with the program.

I think they look sweet. The dually on Edmunds has that F450-550 look to it.

I think you mean F650/F750. 450's and 550's have the same front clips as the 250's and 350's the 450/550 just get the 19.5 rims. I agree with ya if you were meaning the 650/750 with the mega size grills.
