Just got a new 06 f150 and am I the only one or does the bed seen to move around alot when going over train tracks and bumps? And it kind of makes a nosie to go along with it, kind of like a rumble.
I wounder if it has to do anything with the shocks in the rear being outboard next to the tires. As the pre 04s and my 02 with the shocks more center with the bed.
And the light tail gate is great, but if left down while driving it will bounce up and down as the old style which was heavier did not....
My 06 bed does rumble over rough terrain. It is one thing that doesnt bother me. According to mythbusters, you get better mileage with the tailgate up. Its all in the separated bubble.
our 04 and 05 fx4's beds dont make any noise. i'm still think over how where the shocks are mounted would make any differnce in the noise. i dont think it will have an effect.
