Are my eyes crossed again or do these trucks have the Old Style Elliptical Springs, the single spring from side-to-side?
That's what it looks like to me too. I'd guess it's because the frame is so narrow at the back and it would allow the rear axle to follow rougher terrain?
After looking at the pic's some more it is most likely do to the frame being chopped so close behind the wheels, no rear attachment place for the rear spring hanger.
Next question: What did they use to stablize the axle? Wishbones, truck arms, 4 link?
Now here is a coincidence, this truck just was posted on eBay and it's about 10 mile from my house. He has a lot of pictures of the truck:
My neighbor told me about this truck a few weeks ago. It was a the local cruise in while I was in PA picking up my panel. I went to the cruise the next couple of weeks but it never showed up.
If anybody wants to cough up the 12.5K for the truck I'll take a look at for you
