Stupid Human (Auto) Tricks
Ok...another one of those "stupid things people do with cars" posts. I'd like to direct this towards mechanical things.
For example, a friend of mine trashed his '96 Chrysler Sebring today, ran it out of oil AND coolant. You can imagine the result.

i was riding shotgun when my buddys chevy celebrity shutoff going down the road, he hit the brakes got freaked out becouse they felt hard[car wasn't running so no power brakes] so going maybe 25-30 mph he throws it in park to stop it, after sevreral seconds of grinding, squealing, and tooth rattling vibrations the car came to a stop.
the end result was, a fried tranny that puked up all it fluid over a 100 yard strech of road, the bracket that the front motor mount bolts to was torn off the front of the car, and the motor rocked far enough back to break the plastic tube out of the radiator that the bottom coolant hose mounts to.
he pulled the plates off took the cd player out and left it sitting on the side of the road, in a huge puddle of tranny fluid and antifreeze, that was 2 years ago and he hasnt heard anything about it since

I knew a guy in High School who was going to jack up his car to put hub caps on..............well he put the jack under his oil pan and started lifting away. I guess he didn't stay at a Holiday Inn express the night before.
