I don't know for sure, but my brother just put 20 yeare old diesel into his front end loader and it worked just fine. I think as long as there is no water or junk in it it will probably be fine.. I wouldn't use it in anything good though just in case.
will diesel go bad?? no
will the bacteria that grows in diesel plug up your fuel filters, screw up your injectors and make your life miserable?? you betcha!!!
for the few dollars saved on 20-30 gallons of 2-3 year old fuel, it is not worth the risk in my eyes.
now if it was 300 or more gallons, i might take a chance, and double fine filter it, with the pickup 6 inches off the bottom of the tank. but not for 30 gallons.
this guy is just looking for a way to get rid of the fuel without having to pay someone to take it.
