Newbie here - bra question

Picking up my new '06 Harley on Tuesday and have to drive a few miles to get her home. Does anyone make a bra for the F-250? I went on Colgans website but the last year they show is '97 I think. I did a search but didn't come across anything.

Thanks
Beau

I don't know if they make those bras for the new trucks, but here is something that might interest you. I have a local tint shop that also installs a clear layer of protective film on the front portion of the hood and fenders. I saw them install on a brand new dodge charger and you couldn't even tell it is there until you go right up to it and give it a really good look. It is supposed to protect like one of those bug deflectors do. Not a bad idea for a new truck. Their website is: http://www.thetintshopinc.com/index.htm

Ive seen that clear film on a new Audi and it was really nice...if I had bought my truck new, I would've done that. It might be a good idea to get that done behind the front wheel wells and door bottoms as well to protect from stones. Ive never seen a bra on the front of an SD.

Thanks guys. I've seen the clrear stuff before but didn't know how it would work with all the big front grills on the SD. I'll look into it.

You don't want a bra even if they make one for your truck. The bra will hold water, softening the paint over time. It will lead to color mismatch and they flutter at highway speeds that will lead to paint damage. Bras are a great accesory for the body shop. It brings business without the accident.

I can see that happening if you leave the bra on 24/7. I've used a bra on every vehicle i've ever owned and have never experienced any of those problems besides the holding water. I only used them for trips so the bra came off as soon as I got where I was going. The bra is not a problem if used correctly.
