2006 F350 Fuel Sender Malf. And Water In Fuel?
JUST TURNED 16000. I HAVE THE "wATER IN FUEL" MESSAGE ALL THE TIME. I DRAINED THE SEPERATOR SEVERAL TIMES AND THERE IS NO WATER. ALSO, I NOW HAVE A "FUEL SENDER MALFUNTION" CODE STORED IN MY DIAGNOSTICS. THE GAUGE DOESN'T WORK AND I HAVE A ----- MILES TO EMPTY ON THE MESSAGE CENTER. WTF FORD! I GUESS ITS BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THIS ONE.
-ANY ONE ELSE SHARE MY PAIN WITH THESE PROBLEMS???

Water in Fuel
Sensor indicating "water in fuel". Drained separator 3 times starting engine between each purge. Indicator still comes on after 10 minutes of driving. Dealer replaced sensor at 10,000 miles saying it was "gelled over". At 20,000 now and same problem is occurring. I don't think they know what they're doing. Is there a Ford approved fuel additive to remove water?

There is a service bulletion on this...
https://www.ford-trucks.com/tsb/full...php?tsb=06-6-5
PRINT it out and take your truck in to get it fixed.
I just had the same probelm with mine...i drained the fuel several times..then layed under there again...drained it..changed the filters again. It went off after a few days..but i did take it in and tell them and then showed them the printed bulletion..fixed..no questions-no problems.
