front sway bar

I was just wondering if anybody had any info for me on this question.Installed a pro comp 6'' lift on my 86, looked good everything went well except for some trouble with the front sway bar.It seemed like there should have been some drop down spacers or different brackets to bring it down where it bolts to the frame.Maybe I dont need the sway bar.Anybody have this problem.I would appreciate any help.Thanks.

I went to the salvage yard and just hunted around until I found some longer hangers. For my 79 with a 4" lift the rear sway bar hangers from an F-250 were exactly the right length.

I've had the front sway bar off my 89 for 2 years now with no problems. Pulls the trailer all right.

My Tuff Country 4" lift came with drop brackets for the front bar... not that I ever used 'em. Sway bars are at best superfluous when 4-wheeling and at worst they restrict articulation so mine went away bye-bye. I too have never had any stability issues with BOTH sway bars gone.
