Vloney need to know what the affect is of disconnecting the batteries and reconnect. Will this clear some of the reflashes and codes or will they remain

It will clear the dtcs, and it will then require the relearn procedure to be performed. Before you disconnect the batteries, get the vehicle to operating temp, disconnect batteries, wait ten minutes, reconnect batteries, let engine idle for a minimum of five minutes, then perform 2 key on/off cycles.

It's amazing that by using this forum I've learned more about my truck than from my dealer. They act like keeping the truck running by giving the customer is some top secret situation. I wish I lived in your town vloney because I would definitely bring my truck to you. Next question would be if you can clean sensors or they go bad

its cheaper to replace them if you consider time lost, fuel used. I've always understood that prevention of problems is much easier than repairing them, then explaining it to the customer.

make sure you check the icp sensor before you condem the rear main

Question

Is it possible that the oil is coming from the ICP sensor

In the first poat, i posed that the scan tool had told me that it was code #2285 Inj Ctrl Pressure Sensor Ckt Low, now dose this mean the voltage circuit is low, possable by bad connection or bad sensor, or is this telling us that the injector control pressure is low. Reading CKT LOW being a electrician i want to say the voltage is low but not sure if the computer is telling me the fuel perssure is low, dose it conside the fuel system a circuit.
Do you have any experiance if the sensor fail often or do i possably have a injector control problem

Good question. Would like to know the answer also. My code came up when I replaced my water/sep filter. Soon as I turned truck on, cel came on and truck idled rough. This was the first time it happened when I replaces this filter. Because this truck is my companies life line I replace the oil and filters myself or every three weeks I would have to take it to the dealer just for oil and filter changes

Have no leaks, none that i can see, no fluids on driveway. Everything seems to be fine and runs ok, only runs rough on startup after sittling over night, after it has been started, it starts good for the rest of the day. Even if it has sat for a few hours. I started it friday after sitting for a few days and it sounded awful like it fired on 4 cyl. Check engine light came on, so i check and cleared the code hoping it to be bad fuel or something and the saturday morning it started rough again and the CEL came back on. same code. Tomorrow i am going to call the service guy at my local ford dealership to see if it will be covered under the 100K warranty. If not then i will take care of it my self. I have access to a scan tool, so i will have to dig deeper.
