I am just about to get to 36k on my 04 crew psd 4x4, I would like to know if anyone gets the extended warranty or if you just wing it. Nothing major or for that part minor has happened to the truck, just factory recalls and regular oil change/maintenance. Any opinions?
I got the extended service plan before the truck left the showroom. At the cost of repairs on these things one visit can pay for it. Saved my butt on the '01 Dodge I had before this truck, now I've got 6/60 with no worries about $$$.
My 05 is just over 30K and I can't decide if I should get it or not. No problem what so ever and I like keeping $3200 in MY bank account. I think I am going to keep my money.
keep your money...i feel if nothing goes wrong by the 3 yr 36,000 miles warranty you have a good chance it wont happen for a little while...everyting breaks now or later but i guess it depends on how long you plan on keeping the truck...my dad is going on 65000 miles and not one problem...just brakes and rotors ect...i look at things like this...i dont buy the road hazard for tires, the insurance for cell phones and i wont buy the extened warranty...seriously how many times did you have a tire blow out while driving or did you have to take back a cell phone that broke...its all a money pit because if they werent making money on it they wouldnt offer it!!!
Email this guy like I did for a price MUCH better than $3600 !!! And I got a diesel!

Personally, I never buy any of the extended warranties either. The small products are more easy to just replace and with something like a truck, if something major is going to happen, it will most likely happen within those first 3 years. Like buying a "previously owned" truck with anything over 3 years old or 36K miles, no warranty. Trucks and vehicles in general are built much better than in the past and reliability has improved dramatically.
Don't buy!! I've been screwed 3 ways to sunday by them blood sucking warranty companies. They look for all kind of ways not to pay for anything. That my opinion, mileage may vary.
