And more torque typically equals more horsepower, especially with the 4.5 stroker coming in straight off the line with torque, then the boost building up and the turbo carrying it the rest of the way.

Right, 4 hp wouldnt be TOO bad if the pulley cost the same as the 3.0 pulley, but since the 4.0 has an integrated balancer, it drives the price so high I dont really think its worth it.

I consider the e-fan conversion I did a total waste of money, and am seriously considering taking it off. The first fan I had (plastic blades) would warp when hot and go out of balance, so the whole truck would shake. Then i got a fan with metal blades, and the roll pin holding the fan to the shaft came out so the fan didn't actually turn. And when its hot out, it struggles to keep the engine cool...

The Bama tuner was a good investment. Several guys claim they gain more mileage from the 93 tune, so they actually spend less on gas then if they ran the 87 tune - I'm still testing the 87 so can't personally speak to that one yet.

If you run Mobil 1, you can go a lot more than 5k miles between changes - I've personally run Mobil 1 to 15k miles and had it tested - it still meets new oil specs after 15k miles in my tests.

If you have an 03 FX4, you should already have 4.10 gears. I know that was standard on the manual trans FX4, and I believe it was on the auto also.
