I am ordering an F-250 XLT next week. I plan to replace the wheels and tires. I just can't stand the way the stock wheels look and how skinny the tires are. I found some pics on the internet that shows what I want. I need to know what specs and if it will fit on a stock f-250 (no lift).
1. Do you think this 20" wheel and tire combo will fit on a stock (no lift) XLT FX4?
2. What size wheel do you think this is and what back space?
Just a WAG Buddy, but I've got the same Harley truck, and they look like the same size that came stock. i don't think there'll be any prob... However, mine's a 350 and sits higher in the rear.
The pics are from a truck I saw on the Internet. I don't own it. I am trying to find out the wheel size (and backspace) and also the tire specs so I can buy this exact wheel/tire setup. Also, the truck in the pics has a 2" lift and I want to be sure they will fit properly on a stock height 06/07 F-250.
Can you send me your wheel and tire size dimensions?
Joe

Those tires look like BGF All Terrain TA's, they inverted them so the white walled lettering is on the inside. The rims look to be Weld Racing "Velocities" with the 8 spoke pattern. Website lists chrome, though the ones in the pic looks like forged aluminum. Nice looking setup.

if you look at the 4-5o clock position, you can see "forged". yes they do look like nice wheels.
i believe most 20 diameter wheels are 20x10, but these may be 20x9 because the tire doesnt look all that wide, and a 10" rim would not look right on that tire setup. looks to me like 305's or 315's in width.
Will a 20" 8x10 wheel/tire combo fit on a stock height '06/07 XLT SD F-250?
Can/will the dealer reprogram an '06/07 XLT SD F-250 for a 20" wheel/tire setup (same as an HD Edition with the 20" wheels setup)?
If I purchase an XLT with 17" or 18" wheels, adding a 20" wheel will screw up the milage readings because of wheel hight differences so I am looking for what works and what others have done here.

I believe if you purchase the wheel and tire setup through the dealership, they might reprogram for you. Though I doubt most dealers handle aftermarket specialties like those rims.
If you get the stock rims and change them over to the 20's (given they will fit without problems) yes, you will cause the mileage and the speedometer to give false readings because of the lower revolutions created by the larger diameter tires. Now, if you go with the 20's AND go for a tire with a shorter section height (sidewall height)which does not change the overall diameter of the tire, then it will NOT change anything.
I agree. Unfortunatly, the dealer sells to 20" wheel only with the HD Edition so I am stuck having to upgrade the wheels and tires and have the vehicle reprogrammed. Now I just need to determine if a 20" 8x10 and appropriate tire setup will install without rubbing anything on a stock lift.
