Door seals on a '41 1/2ton pick-up
Hi there,
just started to put together my '41 bought partially assembled.
According to some source, the only door seal that originally came with the truck would be a bottom seal hold in a retainer?
If that is correct there must have been a lot of draft and noises in the cab.
I understand that the truck does not have been designed for fast cruising, but I guess it can be improved a lot.
Anys suggestions?
Gab.

My 41 doors only have the bottom seal.
Several after market companies make a foam seal with sticky backing that can be applied to the door seal area. Bob Drake and Obsolete Ford Parts have them. I haven't tried em though, so I can't tell you if they actually work. I think it's probably your best chance at getting the doors to seal without adding a more complicated and modern door seal.
If you try them out, let me know how they work. I might want to install some on my truck.

I just checked out your gallery.
Looks like we are working on very similar projects. My 46 has the Ranger chassis and a 2.3liter four cylinder (soon to be turbo).
I know a lot of people don't understand my project, but it's nice to see someone else moving away from the standard V8 instalation.
