2 years ago I got 2 brand new pumps for my flatty for $65.00 each thru NAPA. THey had them the next day from a wharehouse in state. Also, remember this rule of thumb....... The drivers side is always the left side, no matter which way you're facing the truck.
Well, I want to thank everybody for all the help and suggetions. I have another question however, and I hope it doesn't sound to stupid. When you remove the old waterpump you have to support the motor with a jack or jack stands because the water pump serves as a motor mount support. Well what is the bst way to do that. Most of the bottom of the engine is oil pan; I don't imagine I want to put all the weight on that. Any tips out there? Should you use wood on top of the jack or jack stands?
Not a dumb question at all. The oil pans on these trucks are very heavy. A piece of 2x4 on top of the floor jack will spread the weight enough that you'll do no damage.
