Netfly...Not sure which ones you are talking about...The PTO style generators that Northern sells are for field type applications and are not the same as the PTO setups on our trucks.

I'm sure the belt-drive setup works, but belts= power losses compared to direct drive.

I can't seem to come up with any good sites about the other mentioned products BlackBird or Auragen...?
Because the PTO is already in use with one application and he needed something additional. I wanted to find him an OEM type bolt-in belt driven application that was a neat install and didn't look cobbled up.

Thanks everyone! Still have not herd from RealPower yet about cost and size of units available. In my oppinion they look like the best setup but I may not be able to use them as their web site says unavailable for 141" WB.

CARV...The RealPower units are 15KW units now and the cost is about $5200. They put out 15KW(14.8)at Peak and about 13.6 constant. You have to find a RealPower dealer in your area to do the install. You can purchase directly from RealPower and install it yourself if you have a lift and know how to properly mount the unit to the PTO. It's worth having someone else do the install after watching our mechanic install mine. The FORD is much easier to install than the DMAX for sure. I tested mine again yesterday on my neighbors 5th wheel and now he's checking into getting one. The PSD doesn't hardly change rpm even at full load. I've had a home standbye generator that runs off propane and puts out 15KW with a 26hp BriggsTwin that uses the same output module. The hardware and wiring that comes with the RealPower setup is very impressive.

I know they went to some large trade show just recently so you may want to give them a call-back. I spoke with them just 30 minutes ago. Everyone that answers the phone is knows everything about the product.

Lveillon,

Thanks for the info. I was hopefull that a smaller unit would be available. Don't need that large of a unit and according to the web site installation on 141" wheel base trucks is not an option, guess what I have.
