dip stick
i need a new dip stick for my 1964 f-100 truck 292 v8. any one that has one laying areoung or knows where i can buy one would be a great help

ps
what is the length og the dip stick for the motor oil? i might be able to make one if i find out the length and how far up to make the marks for add a quart and full line.

Deron, Welcome to the FTE site, I hope that you find yourself a good seat here, and get the parts that you need. That said, Please don't post but one thread at a time on the same issue. It is confusing to the readers.

Deron, if you're here much you will learn very quickly that the folks on this board are easily confused. I saw it twice and thought something was wrong with my computer!!! Accident or not you were really messing with my head there for a minute.
Seriously though, you could drain the oil, change the filter put 4 qts in, start the engine, let it run for a few, mark a dip stick, put another qt. in, and mark it again. This should work until you find what you need.

I wish I knew of you dilema last Saturday.
there was one in a truck at the wreckers when I was there.
