I have grandpas 66 ford ... it was parked in 81, i started messing with it in about 96, tearing the heads off and what not to get it cleaned up. Since 96 all has sat. I want to rebuild the original 352 but until them would like to slap in another engine. I assume the 360 and 390 will replace it painlessly ? any info and/or comments suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance!
something to consider,
My 352(2barrel) in my '66 (w/4:10) rear end gets between
11 & 14 miles per gallon........I'm not so sure the bigger
engines will be quite that efficient.....just something to
think about.
You might want to reuse the '66 oil pan, or at least check to ensure that the replacement allows access to the drain plug, and lets the oil drain into a catch can instead of onto the cross-member.
