Finally picked up a rig to go get my 7.3 CC!

I couldn't resist showing off my new addition to my family! LOL! I have been fighting with getting something lined up to go get my 94 CC PS, but have been hitting a wall.. Well, I finally broke down and bought a newer truck to go get it...

Even though this is not 7.3PS related, I did want to share a story about the 7.3's that I have discovered..

After spending all day at the dealership, fighting with them on pricing and terms, to where I could afford this (when normally I would not want to or choke down), I was able to get it for what I needed.

During this time, i was talking with the sales folks (which by the way, i do not care for.. they give me the creeps), about the various Powerstrokes out there. We got onto the subject about the 7.3's.. After they discovered that I have an OBS with the 7.3, there was a lot of push from them for me to use mine as a trade in, and they were very willing to give me top price (about book value) for it. I told them it was a dead subject, so not to even think about it!

I asked what the big push was as to why they were so interested in my 7.3. The sales manager said that even though they are a lot older of a truck and engine, they are very popular and becoming very collectable. They get one that drives onto the lot, and they know they can have it sold in less then 48 hours, and for a nice mark up. They said they get a lot of people coming and trading in newer trucks even, for the older 7.3's.

Lesson learned is, just like I remember hearing about all the cool cars my dad had as he was younger, and how available they were and not now, and how collectable they are, mark my words.. These 7.3's will be the same!

Looks to be a 6.4. I spy red lettering on the fender emblem! This is good to hear about the 7.3s I am so happy more and more every day that i got mine for the price I did. i was not even in the market for one. I just couldn't find a 97-99 Cummins I could afford and this one popped up. I knew the '97 was the year to have if I was going to have one, so I brought her home.
