push rods?

A few weeks ago i stripd a 460 down to the block, thinkin i wasnt goin to be puttin it back together i never took note of which Push Rod went with what lifter/rocker. after runnin a few numbers, i had the block bored .30 over, crank turned .10, pistons / bearings are clevite 77. the cam will be replaced with a edelbrock performer plus kit with new hyd lifters (non adj), the true roller timing set (#7830) and stock heads. with all that said, does it matter which hole i put them in when i reassemble? thanks for all or any comments.

id say mic them and make sure theyre all the same length and you shouldnt have a problem as long as you didnt have the block decked or heads milled and used the stock thickness head gasket... if any of these things i mentioned got screwed with get a length checking pushrod and get custom aftermarket pushrods... theyre only a hundred dollars or so and will save you massive problems in the future. also if you change your rocker ratio youd need custom pushrods

When you put the motor back together check the lifter pre-load on each lifter. Get a Crane shim kit that cost about $10 and shim each rockerarm to get the preload that the camshaft manufacturer reccomends. It takes a little time to do but makes for a better running and longer lasting motor. I did a motor a while back and had to get +.060 longer pushrods. They were about $30 from the autoparts store.
