lug pattern adaptors

i just baught a 91 f150 for 200 bux and it has 5 lug hubs, it seems like all the junyards near me only have decent tires on 6 or 8 lug rims but i dont want to swap my axels, so i'd like to know if there is a such thing as a 5to6 lug adaptor, or a 5-8 lug adaptor, i dont mind the spacers. and i dont want to spend a lot of money

Why don't you just have a tire shop swap the tires off the junkyard rims and on to the 5-lug rims that came with your truck?

that is another option, i would still like to know about the lug pattern adaptors though.

i know there are spacers but i dont know if there are adaptors.
what if someone just wants the look of an 8lug superduty on their f150. it would make sense.

You can buy hub caps that will give you the big truck look. I don't know of any adapters that would do this, and it's probably because it's a bad idea. There's no way something like this would pass a safety inspection.

Yeah, adapters are no good. I think you're stuck with the 5 lug rims unless you want to swap axles.

Instead of going to a tire shop and paying them, another option would be to go to Harbor Freight and get their manual tire changer. It's on sale, at least here in Austin, for $40 right now. I bought one and attached it to a pallet and it works much better than I expected.

that is a good idea.
i will be doing a lot of tire and rim changing in the near future and my dad would probably offer to pay for something like that because he could use it all the time, and harbor frieght is his favorite store.

Thanks guys
