Removing the pcm?

Ok I found it. Its behind the drivers side kick panel. Is it suppose to be loose? Seems like I might be able to pull it through the firewall into the engine compartment after I disconnect the 60 pin connector. Or do I have it all wrong? Help I want to remove it to clean the conncetions and see what the number is on it. Thanks Ed

Well got it out through the firewall. Once you get it unplugged from the wire harness their are 2 nuts holding a rubber seal to the firewall that needed to be removed. Then I had to remove some screws holding the plastic wheel well in place. Then the eec slides out. Apparently mine has been replaced it was a remanufactored unit. Opened it up for hah hahs to see if there were any signs of things that may be cooked, looked ok so I cleaned up the terminals and reinstalled.
