as much as i love my 68 sw custom and how it looks i wish there were more options to lowering it. i hate to say it but the "c----" guys have it made with so many options to go about putting their truck in the weeds. i don't want to put bags on it right now but does flipping the axle really give it 5 inches worth of drop? i am trying to solve my i-beam problem. i hate them and lack options. i want to drop about 6-7 in back and about 5 in front. any help will be appreciated..... maybe a frame swap... something!!!! i want this baby throwing sparks!
Please let me clarify.... I am definately not made of money and anything I do will have to happen over a long period of time. The IFS is not an option as of right now. This is only my second Ford truck and I am really surprised of the lack of options for it compared to other makes of trucks. Maybe thats the reason so many more older customized chevys are on the road.
"Flipping the beam" will add another 5" so you'll look like a raised 4 x 4 with a camber problem.
Why don't you build your own beams and Tig out of 4130 tube?
In the rear add spring perches on top of the axle and make new spring mounts. Or you can go the easy way of sheep and have a chebbie.
Nothing wrong with the twin I beam, just people who don't understand them.
