hey guys for my new system i see if i want to use the satelite, which i admit i dont know much about, would i have to pull allot apart to go back and add the receiver i would need if i decided to get it later? Also was wondering what the difference is between xm and sirrius? And basicaly is satelite radio worth it
It's great if you drive a lot. I had XM when I was driving 1000 miles on weekends but sold it when I stopped. Around town it lost signal so much in trees and buildings it wasn't worth it. If you live in a large city they have ground based antenna so that you don't lose the signal around buildings and through tunnels. In Chicago I never had it drop out.
I have Sirius on my Dish Network. I think I like XM a little better but since XM has NASCAR, there was no choice for me.

Did you get a satelite setup yet?
I have a whole aftermarket audio system and I have an Alpine head unit and it has XM/Sirius capability with either a XM/Sirius recvr unit and antenna.
I ran the antenna wire through my third brake light through the back of the truck and into my center console. You could just buy a unit that plays through the FM radio or if you buy a new car with XM/Sirius already installed.
I def recomend the service, I have had both, XM for a few years and now I have Sirius for Howard Stern, but there is many music channels and talk/sports programs. Visit the websites and get all the info.
