I mean, I'm pretty good about when stuff I thought was dead on info - okay, there was just SOMEthing I didn't know. I always own up after it though - I chime in the same thread and tell everybody: "HEY! WHAT (he or she) SAID! That was exactly right..."
I make a point of that, because I know that I always have some more stuff to learn.
BUT I AM SICK TO DEATH AND TEARS OF PEOPLE WHO INSIST ON MAKING A CHALLENGE OUT OF ME!
I ain't here for that, I just like to play with trucks, and I am INCREDIBLY sick and tired of people who want to make an issue of what I DO or DON'T KNOW.
I just like to play with my FORDS, okay? That's why I'm here
I love you all, because I learn so much from you, and if I can pass on stuff (especially old time stuff) that it is so cool I feel like I am standing in the biggest driveway on earth and ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE HERE.
But sometimes an A-hole is there, and it just flips me out. Tonight is like that.
Forgive me, I need to take a vacation.
~Wolfie out
PS: I've got to focus on a new career - I just don't need that right now.
- and I hope nobody is upset because I cried out this way....

I know what you mean, don't understand the mentality behind it my-self. I'm thinking if I learn something and the hapless individual who posted in the first place gets something out of the thread; everybody has won something. If someone really wants to act like a jerk I don't feel a need to mention it; they have already made the announcement themselves.
Hmmm, maybe my sig says more than I realize: No pride-No shame... Oh well, here's to a better day! :~)
if it makes you feel any better, just know that there are a lot of us here that "have you back" so to speak. nobody, and i mean nobody, is the one stop source of information for anything.....there is always something to learn and you understand and accept that. that is a quality more people in the world need.
you know alot, and i have always valued your advice.
I've been down that road before Wolfie. Don't sweat the small stuff. Hopefully we'll see you back sooner than later. Take 'er easy, and keep doin good on the new job.
Hey, I left for exactly 30 days last year. Explored the nether regions of other sites. The dark side so to speak.
Kinda like when I haven't traveled on business for a while....my wife starts wanting to know when I am going to go somewhere. I think she is as happy as I am that Dove season is starting in a couple of days....
I can't help but echo everyone else here. My challange to you is to ignore those that want to challange you (but not me cause I have a point here) and help those that want your help.
I routinely find myself in no win conversations about law enforcement. What could I possibly say to someone that says "All cops are *******s"? I simply bow out of those conversations and move on because I will never win an argument with them.
Enjoy your time away and we'll catch you on the flip side!
Wolfie. I wouldn't worry too much about the opinions of people like that. Having to deal with alot of people via the phone and face to face, I have found that there are plenty of individuals who love to hear themselves talk, and think their words are set in stone. Mostly I ignore that sort of people and dismiss them as being ignorant with no social skills. And I smile to myself as I think of the day that they will be bit in the butt, and have to eat their words as they make a fool out of themselves.
Of course I do have my days once in a while, that I'm so nasty I can't stand myself. But I do make it a point not to answer my phone, and forwarn anyone I come into contact, that I'm in no mood for games.
Hang in there Wolf, and enjoy the good stuff in life!
wolfus my friend, i would like to make a suggestion.
get a bag of peanuts, a six pack of bud, a bottle of jack gold label, a nice thick heavy glass, and a cooler full of ice.
take it out on the back porch, and pour yourself a nice stiff 3 fingers over the rocks, pop the top on a bud, and sit there and share the peanuts with Mr. Fred the raccoon.
then tomorrow, sick Mr Fred on the butthead that aggravated you in the first place, so he will have to go through the rabies shots. .
The main point of the forums in IMO is about *discussion*.
There are many times a "dispute" erupts into taking personal shots but I think for the most part "The Problem" is the way people interpret certain things that are said.
Over the years ,I have often mentioned to people to really think about their use of the word "You" as opposed to the word " I " when discussing issues.
AFAIC, unless a person gets personal by making snide or derogatory remarks, their comments are just part of the discussion and an interjection of the way they do things or have done things in the past compared to what they are reading.
That's what makes this site so valuable...the sharing of info.
IMO,Unless shown otherwise,I think one must always try to interpret comments made by others in a respectful, neutral, Non-Personal way when discussing topics & issues.
Dutch...... like the others have said: "Take a break and re-group" ....It's just a discussion group.
Ignore the buffoons. All of us have opinions and are right and wrong from time to time. The main thing is that you and most of the rest of us contribute more than we take away.
Anyone with any sense will know to read postings and gather a consensus and decide for themselves whether the info they read is useful.
I learn something every time I go thru the posts. If that other person went in with an attitude to learn rather than to dispute, maybe they would get a lot more out of it. Some guys just have something to prove, too bad for them. Most of the rest of us are confident enough to trust in our own experiences and opinions, and open enough to learn from others. I am sure you are in this later group.
Your opinions and info is useful far more often than not, so don't worry about it.
