I very carefully measured and compaired, and measured again, this afternoon the differences between a 66 floor pan and a 73 floor pan. I am here to report that the 65-79 floor pans are interchangable.
My red 66 pan is rotten to the core, we recently parted out a 73 and I was noticing that the front cab mounts looked good so I started investigating further. I remover the rotten seat & carpet to find the pan to still be fresh paint looking. So I measured that thing every way but sunday. The 73-79 pan is longer from front to back, but is longer by an extension that is very visiable and would be very easy to deal with.
The purpose of writing this is that if your 65-66 pan is rotten you may have an outlet to replace the complete pan with one shot.

Great...Now find one for us poor old die hards, with a '61 to '64. New or repunched! Been looking for 5 years, Guess I'll have to give up and use flat iron. Thanks
Leonard, I see your pain. You guys have to pay $4-500.00 for disc brake kits, no good power steering sources, and I bought a 76 donor, harvested those parts, sold others that I didn't need and bolted them on my truck for free. With the popularity of those trucks growing like it is, maybe someone will start repoping them.
I've given up on finding a floor pan. My '63 is rusted bad, as in a 4" hole from kick panel to almost the accelerator pedal. Good for fresh air but not so good for supporting the cab. I just started fabricating one last weekend. On the front it covers half of the bowl shaped bulge where the dimmer switch is, and around the steering column. On the rear edge it goes back to the front edge of the kick plate and before the beads start. I still have to fabricate the cab mount recess and fit it around the steering column. So far so good. I haven't cut the old rust piece out yet. The bowl is really close to the original. I'm having difficulty knowing exactly how the shape of the curve at the bend looks like. The bend I am talking about runs transversely and is where the floor pan transitions from horizontal to sloping up to the firewall.

I have the same problem with my '65 F350 (same floor pan as yours).

Can you send pictures? The "bowl" is about the only place that isn't rusted so I may just go with a flat piece bent to curve to the base of the firewall...
I'll put you on the list too. A friend of mine is SUPPOSED to be getting ready to make 61 - 64 pans, but he's been so busy with 55 / 56 Ford stuff he's not had the time. I'll keep buggin him though.
Later,Phil
Phil, I was at Carolina Classics today and was told they are planning to make & have them by the end of the year.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Feb-02 AT 12:19 PM (EST)]Hi John, boy that's good news ! Those should be some quality stuff too ! I'll be anxious to see those. Suppose they'll have some at Pigeon Forge ?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Feb-02 AT 03:15 PM (EST)]That does sound a little funny, doesn't it ? Probably no idea of price yet ? Or...how big a panel they will be. Later,
Ken I thought he said that he was gonna make them.
What is your supplier's schedule for you getting the door and hood molding for the 65/66? I have seen it, so it is not smoke and mirrors.
