I've searched the postings re: bleeding procedures, my questions in particular are;1- if you do the gravity method do you have to put tube/s on the bleeder screws and tube/s into jars with fluid? 2- if you do the two person deal, how many repetititions of the down/up thing do you do and how much of the reservoir do you empty?

Yes,

starting at right rear .......pump 3 times....hold ...Pump 3 times....hold.....Pump 3 times.....hold
All air must be gone and last fluid out must be clean.
Refill MC before next wheel (Left Rear) ........Repeat above procedure for the remaining 2 wheels .....next Right front ...then last one .....Left Front
Refill the brake reservior when the reservior is about 1/4 to 1/8 full. Do not let the brake reservior run empty or the bleeding process will have to be started all over again.

Lots of pumping with the 2 person method, and I've had systems (my '77 for example), where it just wouldn't bleed properly no matter how long we tried. I'd go for a vacuum bleeder-just be sure to watch the MC fluid level closely.
