I've just aquired a 67 long bed F-100. 352, T-85 3 speed with cable actuated overdrive.
2 questions: Is there a floor shift conversion for this transmission? Never have liked the column shift.
Is this combination capable of towing 4000 lbs? I remember my father doing some insane things with a 66. Learned to drive on that one, know about drum brakes et al. (First truck of my own was a 51 F-2. Wish I knew where it was now . . .)
the transmission is a for 3spd with either borgwarner or tremec od tail, so any three spd shifter for ford will work, drum brake's are easy to fix on rear. i would suggest you find a 1975-77 f100 with disc's and take out either the spindle assembly's or the whole axle assembly's and put in your truck they are the same axle's and spindle's fit even f250 spindle's will fit on f100 1964-1977.
